Our guest this week is O.K. also known as Organized Khaos is an alternative soul artist and a DMV Native who grew up in PG County, Maryland. As a young Black woman with Autism and ADHD, creating is one of the few things in this life that causes her overactive mind to go silent. She is a Singer-songwriter, visual artist, actress, author, & poet who can never be defined by societal expectations. O.K. makes music she hopes you don’t relate to but wants you to feel seen and understood if you do. This breakthrough artist wants to let her followers know that they will always be O.K. in her eyes. #iamok

Quality of Care: Studies have shown that racial minorities frequently receive lower-quality care than their white counterparts. This includes less accurate diagnoses, fewer treatment options, and less pain management.
Health Outcomes: Disparities in access and quality of care result in poorer health outcomes for racial minorities. For instance, higher rates of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension, and lower life expectancy are more common among these populations.
Implicit Bias: Health care providers may have implicit biases that affect their clinical decisions and interactions with patients. This can lead to differential treatment based on race, such as underestimating pain levels or not taking symptoms as seriously.
Stress and Mental Health: The chronic stress of experiencing racism can have direct physiological effects, such as increased blood pressure and weakened immune function, as well as contributing to mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
