Bevelly shares her journey through constant misdiagnoses to finally getting a recent diagnosis of ASD. “As someone who has been on a journey with her own mental health I would love to be able to share my insights and help others if I could. I really do feel talking about these things is how we make them less taboo and let others know they aren't alone.”

So what is a misdiagnosis? It is an incorrect diagnosis of an illness or other problem.
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) has defined quality of care as “the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge”
